Hello, 2024! Welcome back from the holiday break! I hope you've had a fantastic time recharging and indulging in some well-deserved rest.As we step into this fresh year, let's bring our A-game, creative brilliance, and collaborative spirit to the forefront. Here are a few resolutions to kick off 2024 with a bang:
Innovate Fearlessly: This is the year of outthinking and turning wild ideas into practical solutions.
Esprit de corps: We're not just colleagues but a powerhouse team. Let's celebrate each other's successes, support one another through challenges, and boost a remote environment where every voice is heard and valued.
Embrace Change: Change is the only constant; whether it's a new project, a different approach, or a curveball thrown our way, we've got what it takes to adapt and thrive.
Work Hard, Laugh Harder: Yes, we're here to achieve great things, but that doesn't mean we can't giggle. Let's find joy in our work and share a laugh!
Dream Big: Let's set audacious goals and work together to make the seemingly impossible happen.
This year is a blank canvas, and together, we will paint it with the vibrant strokes of our passion, dedication, and brilliance.– Danielle Alavian

Where do you live now and where are you originally from?
I recently moved to New Jersey in September, after 11 years in NYC. I’m originally from Philadelphia so I’ve been a city girl my whole life until now.
What's your favorite thing to do on Saturday morning?
If there is a Manchester United game on, my morning is planned around that. Then I’ll work in a yoga or reformer class, wedding planning, or a long walk around our neighborhood.

Is there something you've been obsessed with lately?
Podcasts, furniture shopping, and making new traditions. We live very close to my fiance’s parents now, so we go there almost every Saturday for dinner and to visit my furry future sister-in-law Daisy (who I am also obsessed with).
How do you stay motivated or energized for work?
Movement in the morning before the workday starts, especially a walk. When we started WFH years ago, someone said they walk to their subway station in the morning to mimic a commute and get the day started and that habit stuck with me.
Echoing (or copying) Geneva’s Fast Five answer, I love my job and my team so that certainly helps.
What's your Myers-Briggs Personality?
ENFP (which very much aligns with my big three - Cancer Sun, Sag Moon, and Cancer Rising if you’re into that sorta thing 🙂)

Where are you currently working from?
We kind of hot desk in our new apartment which is great for my productivity. This one is my favorite!
Inspiration: Resolution Stickability
This study found that people's natural tendencies, like being flexible or persistent in pursuing goals, don't seem to predict how well they stick to their New Year resolutions. Interestingly, flexibility in pursuing goals is linked to better mental well-being, but persistence is not. This suggests that while many people set New Year resolutions, the results align with the common belief that people often struggle to stick to them.
For professional goals, I encourage you to incorporate goal flexibility into your performance management processes and allow yourself to adjust your goals based on changing priorities or evolving business needs. You can do this by mapping out realistic monthly, quarterly, or yearly performance objectives so that you clearly understand your responsibilities for 2024.Any Inspiration requests? P&C is on it.
