A Note From Danielle:

Welcome to a New Year! The beginning of a new year offers the closest thing we ever get to a fresh start as an employee, allowing us to recalibrate expectations of ourselves and our team members. It also marks a great time for business leaders to set the next 12 months off on the right foot. For me, the holidays provide time to rest and recharge. Professionally, it is the time of year when I pause and reflect. In particular, I find myself evaluating how I did and how I can improve in my position. Here are 3 New Year’s tips for all of you who want to hit the ground running. Let's go 2023!!!!!

1. Identify necessary changes2. Establish your goals 3. Renew your vision and set expectations

Where do you live now and where are you originally from?

I moved to Eugene, OR a few years ago from Austin, TX. I miss BBQ and walking to Crow bar but enjoy the constantly pleasant PNW weather more. I grew up in Vallejo, CA.

What's your favorite thing to do on Saturday morning?

I’ll put on my crocs and garden. It’s fun to just drift into a flow state and pull weeds or whatever slow moving task there is to do. I’ve had varying success with growing food but chilling with beneficial insects has been the most fun.

Is there something you've been obsessed with lately?

It’s seed shopping time– I’ve put in my rareseeds.com order but am looking for more drought-tolerant wildflowers. Hit me up if you have any seed bank recommendations.

How do you stay motivated or how do you stay energized for work?

I’ll put on my crocs and garden. It’s fun to just drift into a flow state and pull weeds or whatever slow moving task there is to do. I’ve had varying success with growing food but chilling with beneficial insects has been the most fun.

What's your Myers-Briggs personality?

INTP– heavy on the introvert

Now, show us where you work (or are working from this month):

This is definitely where I work & it’s not that putting a laptop here was easier than cleaning my desk.

From Eric Yang: “If you were in an SEO pub trivia night against Eric Yang, who would win?”

It would be a wash because the answer to every SEO question is “it depends”.
